Boys Tennis Postseason Formats

Singles + Doubles

The following are held on a Friday in April: Two rounds of qualifying for the 32-player Singles Tournament (Top 16 ranked players in the State plays the 16 round 1 qualifying winners) and two rounds of qualifying for the 16-team Doubles Tournament

The following are held on the secnd to last Friday of May: Rounds 1 + 2 of 32-player Singles Tournament and the first round of the 16-team Doubles Tournament

The following are held on the Saturday: The quarterfinals and semifinals of the Singles Tournament and the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Doubles Tournament

Finals of the Singles and Doubles tournaments are held on the second to last Sunday of May

Division I, II, III, + IV

The top six teams in each division qualify for their division's respective postseason torunament (regardless of sub-division: i.e. four teams could qualify from II-North and just two from II-South)
In the quarterfinals No. 1 and No. 2 receive byes, No. 3 plays No. 6, and No. 4 plays No. 5
In the semifinals No. 1 plays the winner of the 4-5 quarterfinal match and No. 2 plays the winner of the 3-6 quarterfinal match

Finals are held sometime during Memorial weekend (fourth weekend of May)

New England Championships

New England Championships are held on the second Friday of June (Singles and Doubles tournaments)
