Notes:

  • 1933-1942, 1944-1949 called Class B (in 1943 divisions were arranged by geography and Colt Memorial beat St. Raphael for the Suburban Division championship playoff)
  • Until 1991 teams from all divisions competed for the State title but a Class B championship playoff existed in 1939-1942 and 1944-1949
  • No Class B from 1950-2004 (as divisions were arranged by geography and a second-tier tournament did not exist)
  • 1979-1981 There existed a Suburban Division, which had a playoff tournament separate from the State one
  • 1982-1990 There was only one tournament to decide the State Champion and no Class B (divisions were arranged by geography)
  • Called Class B from 1991-2004 and held its own playoff tounament
  • Renamed Division II in 2005
